What I’ve done
After graduating Barnard College, I joined Elle Magazine where the art of photo shoot production was introduced to me. The following year, I moved to Glamour Magazine, working my way up to Associate Beauty Editor, where I conceived of, coordinated, styled and produced fashion and beauty photo shoots for over 5 years. In 1996 I became a year-round resident in Amagansett and began amassing an insider’s knowledge of the Hamptons and Eastern Long Island. In 2002, I opened Li Productions.
What I do
Li Productions, now also known as Holly Li Locations, offers outstanding locations and full-scale, high-end production services, for clients looking to shoot in the Hamptons,. I have discovered and uncovered most of the area’s prime (and often secret) locations over the years and built strong relationships with local officials to ensure approval onto these pristine sites. While I represent an extensive, and often exclusive, collection of private homes and commercial spaces, from NYC to Montauk,(as well as locations in Palm Beach), my emphasis remains on personalized service and attention to detail. My aim is always to provide my clients with consistent, reliable and responsible production quality that adheres to the area’s high standards for public and private land preservation. From scouting and permits, to casting and transportation, Holly Li Locations can gladly handle all production needs for any size project, from the simplest to the most extravagant.
Why I do it
I feel very fortunate to live in a community as abundant in natural beauty and inspiring architecture as the Hamptons, allowing me to continue my career in fashion and remain involved with talented and creative people.
